In 2016, The Garibaldi Group, LLC (TGG) represented Telephonics Corporations (Telephonics) in two lease transactions for over 130,000 square feet. Telephonics is an aviation & aerospace advanced-technology firm, recognized globally for highly sophisticated surveillance, communications, analysis and integration solutions. The firm is also a subsidiary of the New York City-based holding company, Griffon Corporation.
In Huntington, NY the TGG team of Jeff Garibaldi, Jerry Moore and Scott Garibaldi conducted a thorough site selection process for one of the firm’s major manufacturing plants currently located at 780 Park Ave. in Huntington. After considering all comparable and available options, the team advised on a renewal at their current location due to the convenience the location offers, as the firm owns and operates out of the adjacent building (770 Park Avenue) and their headquarters is a couple miles down the road in Farmingdale (815 Broad Hollow Road.)
TGG was successful in negotiating a 5-year lease renewal for 98,460 square feet of manufacturing space with the landlord, NRA II, LLC, taking Telephonics commitment through to 2024.
In Columbia, MD the same TGG team represented Systems Engineering Group, Inc. (SEG), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Telephonics, on an extensive and thorough review of market alternatives in Howard County. Ultimately the decision was made to renew and expand in their current location at 9861 Broken Land Parkway. Renewing and expanding at SEG’s current location aligned best with their overall business needs and goals.
The four-story, 125,000 square feet “Class A” office building is located in the Lakeview Office Park, and SEG agreed to a 6 year, 5-month lease extension on their original 24,802 square feet of office space, as well as on a 7,353 square foot expansion. The lease represents a total of 32,155 square feet and extends SEG’s lease commitment through 2024.
