The Garibaldi Group has announced the leasing of a brand new, build-to-suit headquarters office building in Bedminster, NJ for the organic dog food supplier, Freshpet.
Coming out of their previous headquarters space in Secaucus, Freshpet saw their lease expiration as an opportunity to make a statement. In an office market littered with vacant space, Freshpet tasked the team of Jeff Garibaldi and Jackie Madden with the challenge of not only finding space that could fit the growing team, but that could elevate the employee experience.
“This was never just looked at as an office deal.” said The Garibaldi Group CEO Jeff Garibaldi. “To Scott Morris (Freshpet co-founder), it was a marketing effort, a recruitment effort, and a move to hopefully show their employees that their comfort and enjoyment came first in their decision.”
In order to facilitate such a deal, Garibaldi called on Advance Realty Investors who had quietly been planning an eventual expansion of their 15 acres campus on Route 206. The potential of being tasked with creating a 30,000 square foot, built-to-suit office for Freshpet helped Advanced Realty commit to move forward with their planned retail, dining and amenity space that will become Bedminster Village Square in 2026 .
The new headquarters building is slated to be completed in the first half of 2025.
