The Garibaldi Group (TGG) is proud to announce the completion of nearly 5,000 square feet of office space leased in the month of May by associate broker and newest member of the TGG team, Michael Wills.
Having started a career in commercial real estate six months prior to the COVID pandemic, Mr. Wills’ journey in real estate has been anything but smooth and predictable. As if that was not challenging enough, Mr. Wills was diagnosed with brain cancer in May of 2020 and would be forced into a 18 month hiatus from the business for treatment.
Two years later and with a clean bill of health, Mr. Wills’ persistence earned him an associate broker position with TGG, and he has been single minded focused on sourcing and closing deals ever since.
“Michael is one of the most dedicated and hardworking brokers I have come across during my tenure in the business,” says TGG president Jeffrey Garibaldi Jr. “He is determined to create a career for himself in commercial real estate, and his hurdles to this point have only served to cement his dedication further. We could not be happier to see Michael begin to reap the fruits of his labor.”
As his first success, Mr. Wills’ teamed with TGG director Brian Cass to help the Morris Plains-based IT service provider, Link High Technology, in their quest to find new and upgraded space for their dozen-plus employees. Motivated by an upcoming expiration date, as well as a desire for higher quality office space, Link High Technology was thrilled when they came across the listing at the Eastman Companies-owned 23 Vreeland Road in Florham Park.
Located between Route-10 to the North and Columbia Turnpike to the South, the building offered an ideal location, both for their employees to commute to work, as well as for their technicians to come and go servicing clients.
“We knew pretty early on that 23 Vreeland Road was the right fit for our team,” said Link High Technologies president, Victor W. Liu. “The team at Eastman Companies, especially Eric Mauer, were a pleasure to deal with and we are very excited to call our new space home.”
Link High Technologies is set to officially occupy the space in the Fall of 2023.
In addition to the lease at Vreeland Road, Mr. Wills enlisted the assistance of TGG director Jackie Madden to execute a lease on behalf of Prasada In Home, a therapeutic care, counseling, and coaching organization focused on empowering the lives of adults and children with mental health and behavioral challenges. With their headquarters office currently based in Mt. Arlington, the organization was looking to expand and open a second office in the western portion of Morris County.
Established in 2015, this new lease represented the first expansion of its kind for Prasada In Home, a fact that was not lost on Mr. Wills.
“As a young broker in this industry, I felt oddly akin to the team at Prasada In Home because we were each helping one another during a critical stage of growth for our businesses,” Mr. Wills explained. “I was blessed to have a tremendous team behind me at Garibaldi, with experience that I could lean on and learn from. I also had a great team representing the building in Susan and Jesse who helped me provide Prasada with all the time they needed to make the ultimate decision. I’m thrilled we were able to get it done.”
After a diligent search, the group was happy to find 1,580 square feet of medical office space at 1247 Sussex Turnpike in Randolph which was represented by director Suzanne Kiall and associate broker Jesse Unger, both of Lee & Associates
