A Year in Review

The Garibaldi Group celebrated its 100th year in business in October of 2019, reinforcing a commitment to projects, people and our overall purpose.

Since 1919, we’ve honored Joseph J. Garibaldi Sr.’s credo of “Selling Superior Service” by remaining small by design, dedicating our time and resources to commercial real estate projects that make a lasting impact.

This tradition has allowed The Garibaldi Group to constantly pivot, staying ahead of the industry at each turn. By adding key players to our brokerage team and doubling down on our vision of future office spaces, we recorded our most successful year yet and intend to keep the momentum going.

Take a look back at what made our year so special:

Projects

Flint Drive
Menomonee Falls, WI

The team of Jerry Moore, Chuck Bower and Jeff Garibaldi assisted a global defense contractor with a 118,620 SF office lease and 350,000 SF manufacturing build-to-suit in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Supporting Garibaldi were Milwaukee based CORFAC International brokers Sam Dickman Sr. and Sam Dickman Jr. from The Dickman Company.

“The Dickman Company was invaluable in identifying sites and solicitation developers,” Jerry Moore said. “Their intimate knowledge of their market and local players was integral to satisfying this requirement.”

Another example of Moore, Bower and Garibaldi partnering with other CORFAC International affiliates was in Bridgeton, Missouri that involved the site selection and development of a 171,500 SF build-to-suit manufacturing facility for the same global defense contractor. For this project, the team engaged Jake Corrigan and Vince Berardi at Sansone Group, St. Louis.

777 Scudders Mill Road
Plainsboro, NJ

The team of Jeff Garibaldi and Jackie Madden helped to relocate the US headquarters of a UK-based specialty chemical company, Croda International.

The relocation was driven by a desire to improve the employee experience. The requirement was to locate a class A building to accommodate their headquarters office as well as their new Innovation Lab, which is set to include state of the art laboratories that can enable customers to come and collaborate with researchers in developing new products. After an exhaustive search throughout much of Middlesex, Union, and Monmouth Counties, the decision was made to lease 70,000 square feet at 777 Scudders Mill Lane in Plainsboro, NJ.

8585 Duke Boulevard
Mason OH

Among the nine total transactions that Garibaldi executed on behalf of Clopay in nine different states, the renewal of their headquarters space made up of 52,000 square feet in Mason, OH was the most significant.

The relationship between Clopay and Garibaldi began over 5 years ago when Garibaldi’s corporate services team began consulting for Griffon Corporation. Clopay is one of Griffon’s four whole-owned subsidiaries. In that time, Garibaldi has executed over 100 transactions for Clopay in nearly 40 states.

101 Crawfords Corner Road
Holmdel, NJ

Garibaldi has reached a new milestone at its landmark Bell Works office leasing project in Holmdel, surpassing more than 1 million square feet of leasing activity at the repositioned former Bell Labs campus. The achievement was reached after leasing 20,000 square feet to IPG Photonics, a maker of high-power fiber lasers and amplifiers. The campus is now over 80 percent leased.

The Station

In July, the firm opened up its first own and operated coworking space in downtown Chatham, NJ known as The Station. The operation comes out of both foresight and opportunistic thinking.

After 6 years of being embedded at Bell Works, accommodating the needs of technology and innovation clients as well as working directly with Colab, The Garibaldi Group saw the value in creating a space for startups to grow and flourish. At the end of 2018, the team decided to renovate 4,000 square feet of flexible office space in their headquarters building.

The Station offers team suites, individual offices, reserved desks, conference room rentals, and accommodations to both members and non-members. The space focuses on providing regular event programming, with panel discussions, workshops, community game nights and more.

”The central theme that has spanned my career is my unique ability to connect and marshal various personality types, breakdown complexity, and simplify,” Staskiewicz said earlier this year. “I have relied heavily on my problem solving skills my entire life, and enjoy engaging with people and creating a common vision.”
